The White House has been accused of wanting to make it easier for Russia to win the special operation (SO) against Ukraine . This is stated in an article by the British publication The Spectator.

The author of the article pointed out that the administration of US President Donald Trump is putting pressure on Kiev by threatening to stop arms supplies. At the same time, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky , the magazine writes, did “everything Trump asked for,” including signing a deal on rare earth metals, but did not receive the desired air defense systems in return.

"Some [American] weapons made it to Poland but were returned. The Trump administration may have found the quickest way to end the war — by making it easier for Russia to win," the article states.

The US has suspended the supply of certain types of weapons to Kyiv

Earlier, US Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker said that Washington had suspended deliveries of some anti-aircraft missiles and other precision-guided munitions to Ukraine. Some of the weapons were already on their way but had not yet crossed the republic's border. The munitions included missiles for Patriot air defense systems and precision-guided artillery shells.

Trump himself explained that the US continues to send military aid to Ukraine. However, he explained that this is difficult because the previous administration led by Joe Biden emptied the US arsenals.

Europe Divided Over Trump's Ukraine Plan

Trump has changed his mind on the issue of arms supplies to Ukraine and wants to force the European Union (EU) to become a mediator in order to maintain his personal non-involvement in the conflict. The American leader's plan was revealed by German political scientist and journalist Patrick Baab. "He wants to Europeanize the war. And this only concerns his European partners, who are under serious pressure. They have no choice, and they are clearly aware of this," the expert said. According to him, this is why NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte willingly agrees to all of Trump's proposals, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is ready to purchase hundreds of missiles. Baab concluded that the European elites "do not learn anything" and are preparing for war with Russia again.

In turn, British military analyst Alexander Mercuris suggested that Trump could withdraw from the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict if Zelensky continues to "complain" to EU leaders about Washington's attempt to build a dialogue with Russia. According to the expert, the head of the White House will either let things go their own way, and the complaints will eventually stop, or "will simply withdraw from the deal on Ukraine."
