Veliky Novgorod climbed 12 positions in the salary ranking by industry

A rating of the largest cities in Russia by salaries in their industries has been compiled. The list is topped not by Moscow, but by Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, where you can earn an average of 445 thousand rubles in the extractive industry. Moscow is second - 293 thousand rubles, but to do this you need to work in the banking sector. In third place are builders in Anadyr - 282 thousand rubles per month.

Veliky Novgorod took 56th place with an average salary of 98 thousand rubles in manufacturing industries. The same money can be made doing IT in Omsk, entertainment in Sochi or transportation and storage in Arkhangelsk.

Elite, where it is best to work in the civil service, closes the rating. For 54 thousand rubles.

Among our neighboring cities, Cherepovets stands out, ranking 5th. There, on average, scientists earn 229 thousand rubles a month. Almost like fishermen in Murmansk.

Overall, the average net salary in the most attractive industries for earnings for the largest 100 cities was 118.3 thousand rubles, the median was 100 thousand rubles. For comparison, in the 2024 study, the average salary for the largest 100 cities was 107.4 thousand rubles, the median was 90 thousand rubles.

Let us add that a year ago in the same RIA Novosti rating, Tyumen was in the top three, and Veliky Novgorod was 68th. But the profile of our city has not changed.
