Deputies of the "A Just Russia - For Truth" faction have proposed that Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov abandon the holding of the Basic State Exam (BSE) for ninth-graders. The corresponding initiative was put forward by the party leader Sergei Mironov and the chair of the Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society Yana Lantratova. This was reported by the RIA Novosti agency.
In the appeal, the parliamentarians propose returning to the traditional form of certification in the form of written and oral exams, which will be conducted directly by schools. According to the authors of the initiative, this will reduce the psychological burden on students, increase the responsibility of teachers for assessing knowledge and reduce budgetary expenses for organizing large-scale testing.
Mironov emphasized that preparation for the OGE comes down to mechanical memorization of typical tasks to the detriment of a full-fledged educational process. The politician also noted that the existing system forces families to resort to the services of tutors.
Earlier, the State Duma proposed changing the system for calculating the bonus-malus coefficient for drivers.
