Sabrina Carpenter has unveiled an alternate, “God-approved” cover for her upcoming album, Man’s Best Friend—out August 29.

On June 25, the “Manchild” singer posted a photo of the new cover, which shows Carpenter and a man simply standing in a close embrace. The caption was a cheeky response to the critiques of her original cover, which showed her on her hands and knees with someone grabbing her hair. She wrote, “& here is a new alternate cover approved by God. available now on my website 🤍”

Earlier today, the Grammy-winning artist also released behind-the-scenes footage from the “Manchild” music video. In one scene, she’s holding a cigarette and says, “For all the people that are thinking, ‘Shame on you, Sabrina,’ these are nicotine-free.” In the final clip, she pretends to answer a payphone and says, “Hello?,” before turning to the cameraman, “It’s your mom.”

In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, Carpenter gave an even better response to critics. “It’s always so funny to me when people complain,” she said. “They’re like, ‘All she does is sing about this.’ But those are the songs that you’ve made popular. Clearly you love sex. You’re obsessed with it. It’s in my show. There’s so many more moments than the ‘Juno’ positions, but those are the ones you post every night and comment on. I can’t control that.”
