Inside Summer House Star Lindsay Hubbard's First Mother's Day
Summer should be fun—and so should Mother's Day.
Lindsay Hubbard is sharing sweet insight into how she plans to celebrate her first Mother's Day with 5-month-old daughter Gemma.
"I’m not planning my own Mother’s Day," the Summer House star—who shares Gemma with boyfriend Turner Kufe—exclusively told E! News ahead of the May 11 holiday. "I am letting Turner figure that out. We’re going to a Mother’s Day brunch somewhere, and he’s excited about the reservation—but that’s all I know. I think my own plan is to tell him he’s taking the morning shift so I can sleep in for 30 extra minutes."
And—despite having an infant at home—Lindsay isn't stressing about planning for events like Mother's Day as of late.
"Something happened when I became a mom," the 38-year-old noted. "I just became more chill, which is good—interesting. I think that’s why I was so chill all season on Summer House. I was like, 'There’s something bigger going on.'"
As for what has surprised her most about becoming a first-time parent, Lindsay admitted it's "how protective I've become."
"Being a mom is just such a beautiful thing," the reality star gushed. "I will do anything for that baby. I just want her to succeed in everything she does and be happy and never feel any pain. I guess that's part of just being a mom. I don't think that will ever, ever go away for me."
She added, "I think it's beautiful how your heart expands and you all of a sudden have all this room for so much love."
Lindsay also revealed Gemma's latest milestone.
"Last week, she started laughing," she gushed. "She doesn't quite know how it works, it's more of just like a cackle. Which, I can have a cackle, for sure. She’s desperate to crawl. As soon as she starts crawling, I’m in trouble. She’s going to be zipping around the room."
And, because Lindsay has so many friends and family visiting to fawn over Gemma as of late, it made perfect sense for her to partner with Air Wick and her favorite product, Air Wick’s Lavender & Chamomile Scented Oil.
"As a new mom, I'm hosting a lot," she explained. "Making sure my home is guest-ready at any given moment is the most important. At least for me in New York. Like, 'I’m in the neighborhood, I’m stopping by.' At least I have my Air Wick plugged in with my signature scents."

"I’ve already lost my tan," Lindsay wrote on social media. "Luckily we’re heading out on our baby moon tomorrow!"
Lindsay shared a stunning beach pic from Turks & Caicos, writing, "The best baby moon me & cub could have asked for!"
Lindsay wrote, "I’ve never felt prettier," while attending a red carpet event in L.A. in October 2024.
