US President Donald Trump has nominated State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce for the post of Deputy Head of Mission to the United Nations. He made the announcement on his personal social network account, Truth Social.

Justifying his decision, the American leader described the head of the State Department press service as an “outstanding patriot” and a talented writer.

Tammy Bruce's new boss is expected to be Donald Trump's former national security adviser Michael Waltz, who remains the leading candidate for the post of US Ambassador to the UN.
