Former Deputy Defense Minister Popov is in serious condition at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute

Former Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General Pavel Popov, who was urgently hospitalized from the Lefortovo pretrial detention center to the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care in May, is in serious condition. This was reported to TASS by the lawyer of the general accused of fraud, Denis Sagach.

"Our client is still in the Sklifosovsky Research Institute in serious condition, which rules out his participation in investigative actions and court hearings. Doctors are not giving any prognosis yet," the defense attorney noted.

Earlier, Real Madrid's French forward Kylian Mbappe was hospitalized with an acute form of gastroenteritis for tests and treatment, as reported on the football club's website.
