24-hour operation in Izmir: 133 detained

In Izmir, 133 people were caught in operations conducted at 95 addresses targeting wanted suspects with finalized prison sentences.

Izmir Provincial Police Department teams launched an operation across the province targeting suspects with finalized prison sentences and wanted suspects.

Upon the instructions of the Public Prosecutor, simultaneous raids were carried out at 95 addresses in the city at around 05:00 yesterday.

In the operation carried out by 190 police officers, 133 suspects wanted for various crimes such as theft, murder, wounding, looting, drug trafficking and use, fraud, sexual crimes, and violation of the tax procedure law were detained.

133 suspects, who were detained in the 24-hour operation, were taken to the police station after a health check.
