Baby dies in exploding car

An explosion occurred in the car with the license plate 42 D 9030 in which the family was travelling. Fire, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The flames were extinguished by the intervention of the fire department teams. It was determined that 3-month-old Mustafa Çakmak and his aunt Rabia Yıldız (18) in the car died in the explosion. Mother Fatma Çakmak (22) and her husband Halil Çakmak were injured. The injured parents were taken to Selçuk University Medical Faculty Hospital by ambulance. Initial findings indicated that the explosion was caused by an oxygen tank in the car. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
