Bicycles for 100 more children in Bahçelievler

"Bicycle Raffle and Distribution Ceremony" was held by Bahçelievler Municipality of Istanbul.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mayor Dr. Hakan Bahadır emphasized that cycling is important for both healthy living and environmental awareness, and stated that they will continue to encourage the use of bicycles in the district.

Bahadır said, "We aim to distribute bicycles to 100 children every month. We have built bicycle paths in Bahçelievler, they may not be used to their full potential right now, but we are preparing this infrastructure. It is our responsibility to implement such projects to reduce carbon emissions and encourage a healthy life. Our aim is for everyone in our district to make sports a part of their lives."

As part of the program, Mayor Bahadır and the district protocol symbolically gave bicycles to three children on stage. At the end of the event, 100 citizens who were entitled to receive bicycles through a raffle received their gifts.

Bahçelievler Municipality announced that it will continue to gift bicycles to citizens living in the district through raffles organized through its social media accounts.
