Nineteen days later, tragic news came from businessman Halit Yukay. Yukay’s lifeless body was found on the 19th day of the search efforts conducted by teams from the Coast Guard Southern Marmara Group Command, General Directorate of Coastal Safety, Samsun Police Department Sea Port Branch, Çanakkale Police Department Sea Port Branch, İzmir Police Department Sea Port Branch, and Yalova Sea Port Branch. BOAT PARTS ALSO FOUND NEAR THE BODY Yukay’s body, which was detected by marine police using a YTS device in the area where the accident occurred, 7 miles off the coast of Erdek, at a depth of 68 meters, was also captured by an ROV. The license plates of the boat’s engine and parts of the boat were also found around the body. NAVAL FORCES COMMAND DIVERS WILL RECOVER THE BODY The work to retrieve the body from the bottom of the sea will be carried out in coordination with the Naval Forces Command in order to preserve the integrity of the body. The ROV, which carries out imaging and scanning up to a depth of 300 meters, can also raise detected elements underwater to the top of the sea with the help of the holding arm on the mechanism mounted on it. However, since there are concerns about the integrity of the body, the work is planned to be carried out together with the Naval Forces Command. THEY RECOVERED THE CREW OF THE SHIP "BATUHAN A" The ship, which departed from Balıkesir's Marmara Island to Roda Port in the Gemlik district of Bursa on February 14, 2024 with a crew of 6 and a cargo of 1,250 tons of marble dust, sank after taking in water at 06:32 on February 15, off the coast of Karacabey district, southwest of İmralı Island.

The bodies of the missing crew of the cargo ship named "Batuhan A", whose wreckage rested on the seabed at a depth of 51 meters, 4 miles off the coast, were retrieved by divers of the Naval Forces Command by descending to the seabed using an elevator system.
