Earthquake in Istanbul in the early morning

A devastating earthquake struck Istanbul's Büyükçekmece district at 4:13 a.m. The Kandilli Observatory announced the magnitude of the earthquake as 3.2 and its depth as 11.9 km.

In a statement, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency) reported the earthquake's magnitude as 2.9. No adverse events were reported from the earthquake, which reached a depth of 6.91 km.
