Extreme heat is coming: 4 to 6 degrees above seasonal norms

Temperatures across the country will be 4 to 6 degrees above seasonal norms.
General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) weather forecaster Fevzi Burak Tekin said that no precipitation is expected in most parts of the country this week.
Tekin, who stated that rain will be seen in the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions and Eastern Anatolia at the beginning of the week, announced that rain is expected from Ardahan to Van on Wednesday and in the northern parts of the country on Thursday and Friday.
Tekin said that the temperature in the inner, western and southern parts of the country will sometimes exceed 40 degrees and that people should not go out between 11:00 and 16:00, when the sun's rays are at their strongest.
No precipitation is expected in the three major cities. The temperature in Ankara will be 34 to 36 degrees for three days, Thursday and Friday 37-38. Tekin said, “The temperature will be 33-35 in Istanbul, 36-38 in Izmir and 40 degrees in time.”
Warning against forest fires, Tekin stated that places where winds blow hard, temperatures are high and humidity is low pose a fire risk, and therefore more caution should be exercised.
