Finland: US has no strategy
President Stubb answered questions from Lauri Nurmi of the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti.
"I believe that the transatlantic relationship is collapsing," Stubb said.
Noting that the United States does not have a solid strategy to end the Russia-Ukraine War, Stubb argued that Europe must therefore take responsibility.
Stubb called for a "solution-oriented, peaceful approach."
Stubb, who opposed US President Donald Trump's characterization of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a "dictator who does not hold elections," had previously stated that he supported Zelenskyy and noted that maximum pressure should be applied to Russia in the talks to end the war.
Finland argues that Ukraine's sovereignty should be preserved and it should have the right to join NATO and the European Union (EU).
