Hatay Provincial Director of Trade Halit İmrek announced that inspections continue uninterruptedly in order to prevent price increases and unfair profits in food and consumer products before the month of Ramadan. Stating that inspections regarding price tags and price increases, especially in markets, restaurants and businesses selling bakery products, continue meticulously, İmrek said, "We continue our inspections in areas where the most basic needs of consumers are met. During this process, our teams are actively working in the field to ensure that price tags are reflected correctly, especially in basic food products, and that price increases are not made arbitrarily."
"INSPECTIONS WILL CONTINUE DURING THE MONTH OF RAMADAN"
Drawing attention to the fact that necessary legal sanctions will be applied against unfair price increases, İmrek called on citizens to be sensitive to such practices and to report suspicious situations to the Provincial Directorate of Trade. Stating that unfair price increases damage the purchasing power of the people and negatively affect economic balances, İmrek stated that inspections will continue to increase throughout the month of Ramadan and will be supported with new measures if necessary.
