Meteorology warns: Heat wave set off from Africa

According to the latest forecasts by the General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM), hot weather continues to affect Turkey. While partly and very cloudy weather prevails in the northeastern parts, showers and thunderstorms are expected in the Kars, Ardahan, Artvin areas and inland areas of Trabzon and Rize after noon.
In other regions the weather will be generally partly cloudy and clear.
Temperatures Above Seasonal Normals
MGM emphasized that air temperatures will be above seasonal norms throughout the country. This effect will be felt more clearly especially in the Central Anatolia, Aegean and Southeastern Anatolia regions.
Strong Wind Warning
The wind is expected to blow generally from the north, occasionally at moderate strength, and in the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, it is expected to blow strongly (40–60 km/h) from the north and northeast. MGM warned citizens against possible situations such as blown roofs, falling trees and disruptions in transportation.
Marmara: It is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
Aegean: It is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
Mediterranean: It is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
Central Anatolia: It is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
Western Black Sea Region: It is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
Central and Eastern Black Sea Region: Partly and slightly cloudy, becoming very cloudy in the east over time, after noon, it is expected to be locally showery and thundery in the Artvin and inner parts of Trabzon and Rize.
Eastern Anatolia: Partly and slightly cloudy, becoming very cloudy in places in the northeast over time, local showers and thunderstorms in Kars and Ardahan after noon. Wind is expected to blow hard (40-60 km/h) from the north and northeast in the southeast of the region.
Southeastern Anatolia: It is expected to be partly cloudy and clear.
