Minister Bolat spoke at the October 29 Republic Day program in Romania!

Bolat attended a gala event organized by the Romanian- Turkish Chamber of Commerce and the GAP Journalists' Association at the Romanian Parliament Palace in Bucharest , on the occasion of Republic Day, October 29th. Speaking at the event, Bolat noted that this year marks the 147th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Romania and Turkey. He stated that Turkey shares common historical ties with Romania, with whom it has lived as a neighbor for centuries. He emphasized that the two countries have no problems in their mutual relations and often support each other on international platforms.

Bolat, noting that Romania and Turkey are countries that have made significant progress, said, "Our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Turkey have played, and continue to play, very important roles in international diplomacy and peacebuilding through our role as mediators in many international crises and disputes."

"HOPEFULLY, WE WILL EXCEED 13.5 BILLION DOLLARS"
Bolat also pointed out that Turkey and Romania continue to strengthen their economic relations, saying, "We increased our mutual foreign trade from a few billion dollars to $12 billion last year, and this year, God willing, we will exceed $13.5 billion. We will reach our $20 billion foreign trade target before 2030." Bolat noted that Turkish businesspeople have made significant contributions to the development of Romania's economy over the past 35 years and emphasized the increase in mutual visits between citizens of both countries in tourism. He added, "We also have significant cooperation in the defense industry. We have active cooperation, including joint production, in line with the needs and supplies of the Romanian Armed Forces."
