Mossad described it as a 'turning point'! 'It was a blow that shattered the soul of Hezbollah'

According to the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Barnea gave detailed information about the incident in September 2024, when pagers carried by Hezbollah members were detonated, in a speech at Reichman University in Herzliya.
Barnea stated that the explosion of these pagers was a "turning point" in the attacks on Lebanon , and argued that Hezbollah "received a blow that shattered its soul" with this attack.
Barnea said the devices contained less explosive material than the mines, adding: "The first shipment of 500 pagers arrived in Lebanon a few weeks before the October 7 massacre."
"If the pager explosion operations had been carried out at the beginning of the war, we would not have achieved the great success we did," Bernea said.
In Lebanon, pagers used by Hezbollah members were detonated on September 17. One day after these attacks, on September 18, radios used by Hezbollah members were also detonated.
Following the explosion of pagers and radios, which resulted in the deaths of 37 people and the injury of more than 3,000 people, Israel launched assassinations targeting senior Hezbollah figures in Lebanon.
The Israeli government claimed responsibility for the attack approximately two months later.
