New development in the diploma investigation against Ekrem İmamoğlu... Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent a letter to the Rectorate

In the letter sent to Istanbul University by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that "Within the scope of the research report of the Council of Higher Education Presidency; it was understood that only the Eastern Mediterranean University is recognized by the Council of Higher Education among the higher education institutions operating in the TRNC, that the recognition of the higher education institutions to be accepted for horizontal transfer procedures should be sought, therefore, it was understood that the horizontal transfer procedures from the unrecognized University College of Northern Cyprus (UCNC) to the Dean of Istanbul University's Faculty of Business Administration were not carried out in accordance with the decisions of the Council of Higher Education;

In this context: Within the scope of the report of the Council of Higher Education; It has been determined by the Dean of Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration that the administrative procedures regarding recognition, horizontal transfer quotas, announcement periods and horizontal transfer acceptance have been carried out in violation of the decisions of the Council of Higher Education, and that the diploma in question continues to be used (such as the Supreme Election Board, etc.), and that in this context, the necessary procedures should be carried out as soon as possible in order for the work and transactions to be established based on the diploma not to be against the law, and that an administrative investigation should be initiated or, if there is an ongoing investigation, the investigation reports in question should be sent to our Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor, and that all documents indicating that Ekrem İmamoğlu studied at Istanbul University should be sent to us, and that whether he was registered to any department at the university in question on September 12, 1990 and that his clear identity information should be sent to us, and that the response regarding whether similar horizontal transfer transactions were carried out on the dates specified regarding the horizontal transfer mentioned in the report should be sent to our Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor immediately. "You are kindly requested to do the necessary regarding this matter" statements were included.
