Preparations for Ramadan are complete in Küçükçekmece

This year, citizens living in Küçükçekmece will come together at iftar tables to be set up in Fatih Neighborhood Condolence House and Multi-Purpose Hall, Halkalı Neighborhood Condolence House and Multi-Purpose Hall, Kanarya Neighborhood Condolence House and Multi-Purpose Hall, Yarımburgaz Neighborhood Condolence House and Multi-Purpose Hall and Kemalpaşa Semt Konağı Multi-Purpose Hall. Iftar food will also be distributed at busy points of the city every evening during the month of Ramadan.

'I EXPECT ALL OUR NEIGHBORS TO IFTAR TABLES'

Küçükçekmece Mayor Kemal Çebi said, “There are only a few days left until Ramadan, the month of kindness and sharing that softens our hearts with its spiritual atmosphere. I hope that this holy month will be beneficial to the entire Islamic world and our country, and that it will elevate the feelings of mercy, hope and kindness within us. I am waiting for all our neighbors to come to our iftar tables.”

The following information was included in a written statement from the municipality:

“Throughout the month of Ramadan, Sefaköy and Cennet Culture and Art Centers will host events in line with the spiritual atmosphere, from Sufi music concerts to storyteller shows, from cultural talks after iftar to special concerts and theater plays.

On the other hand, cleaning and disinfection works in the district's mosques have also been completed so that citizens can worship in a cleaner and more orderly environment. The works will continue at certain periods throughout the month of Ramadan .

In order for citizens to have access to healthy and clean food, the Police Department teams also carry out inspections in bakeries and businesses producing bakery products in the district. During the inspections, the weight of the products and the cleanliness of the businesses are meticulously checked by the teams.”
