KASTAMONU

Heavy snowfall continues to negatively affect life throughout the province in Kastamonu. Due to adverse weather conditions and snowfall, transported education was suspended for 2 days in the Abana, Bozkurt, Çatalzeytin, Doğanyurt, İnebolu and Şenpazar districts on Thursday, February 27 and Friday, February 28.

In Küre district, education was suspended for one day in all grades of schools on Thursday, February 27.

SINOP

In the statement made by the Sinop Governorship, it was announced that some public employees will be considered on administrative leave on Thursday, February 27, 2025.

According to the announcement made by the Governorship, bussed education - instruction has been suspended for one day in Ayancık, Dikmen, Gerze and Türkeli districts. In addition, in the villages of Sazlı, Akbaş, Göller, Türkmen, Tepealtı, Eğmir, Ahlatçık, Boyalıca, Tıngır, Oğuzeli, Kirençukuru, Erikli, Karapınar, Kozcuğaz and Taypaklı in the Central District, and in the villages of Avlağısökü, Aydınlar, Çayır, Gökçebel, Himmetoğlu, Hürremşah, Kazmasökü, Ormantepe, Sarıboğa, Sorgun and Tatlıca in the Erfelek District, bussed education - instruction has been suspended for one day. ARMY

In a statement made by the Ordu Governor's Office, it was stated that there is a risk of frost and ice in the city due to snow and cold weather. In the statement, it was reported that education will be suspended tomorrow in all schools in the Akkuş, Çaybaşı, Gölköy and Gürgentepe districts, and in some schools in the Altınordu, Fatsa, Gülyalı, İkizce, Ulubey, Perşembe and Ünye districts.

ARTVIN

Education was suspended in the center of Artvin and 7 districts due to snow and cold weather. In the statement made by the Artvin Governorship, it was stated that according to the latest data received from the Provincial Directorate of Meteorology, the heavy snow and cold weather that are effective throughout the province will continue to have an effect.

In the statement, which drew attention to the possibility of negativities in transportation due to icing, it was stated that "Except for Yusufeli district, the break in education in all educational institutions throughout the province (kindergarten, nursery, primary school, secondary school, high school, public education courses, Quran courses providing daytime education, rehabilitation centers and private courses) was extended for 1 more day on Thursday, February 27."

It was also announced that pregnant, disabled and disabled personnel working in public institutions will be considered to be on administrative leave on the same date.

GIRESUN

RIZ

Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş, in a post he shared on his social media account, announced that education will be suspended for a day tomorrow due to snow.

Baydaş stated that they made the decisions by sharing the analyses received from the authorities and continued as follows:

"I assure you that we are having a hard time making these decisions. There is no rain in the city center at the moment, but according to the information we received from the metrology, some more rain is expected at night. There is heavy rain in the eastern districts. We do not want to disrupt or interrupt the education and training process. The most important thing is for our children to go to school safely. We will have a 1-day break from education and training tomorrow."

Baydaş stated that he has expectations from students, teachers and parents and noted the following:

"We had to take a long break. Hopefully, when they get back to their schools, they will make up for the time they lost. I know this as a parent. They follow the teachers and students very closely. They try to keep them warm and energetic with their lessons and homework. When we start education and when our schools meet with teachers and students again, they will more than make up for the time we lost. Schools are beautiful with teachers and students."

TRABZON

Education has been suspended tomorrow in some districts of Trabzon. Due to adverse weather conditions, there will be no education tomorrow in schools with transportation in Dernekpazarı, Düzköy, Hayrat, Köprübaşı, Sürmene and Tonya districts.

Education was suspended in Yeşilyurt, Çankaya, Erenler, Taştepe, Değirmencik, Muhittin Öztürk Saffet Çebi and Yeşilce Primary/Secondary Schools and all schools providing transportation in Araklı district.

Education was suspended in all primary and secondary schools in Karaçam, Taşkıran and Uzungöl in Çaykara district, and in primary, secondary and high schools providing transported education in Çamlıyurt, Maden, Oymalı, Özdil and Kömürcü neighbourhoods of Yomra district.

ARDAHAN

Due to adverse weather conditions, education has been suspended in 3 districts of Ardahan for tomorrow. Governor Hayrettin Çiçek, in a post he made on his social media account, noted that education will be suspended for 1 day tomorrow in the Hanak, Damal and Posof districts.

Çiçek also reported that pregnant and disabled public personnel, as well as female public personnel whose children are receiving education in kindergartens and nurseries, will also be on administrative leave.

VAN

Education in the Özalp and Saray districts of Van will be suspended tomorrow due to snowfall, blizzard and icing.

According to a post on the social media account of the Özalp District Governorship, adverse weather conditions continue to have an effect in the district. Pregnant and disabled public personnel and public employee mothers whose children go to nursery and kindergarten will also be considered on leave.
