Tragic loss on the set of "Emily in Paris": Director passes away

The popular series "Emily in Paris" was shaken by a tragic event during filming of its fifth season. The series' co-director, Diego Borella, died at the age of 47 of a heart attack during filming in Venice.
He collapsed to the ground in front of the teamThe incident occurred during preparations for filming the final scenes of the new season. According to Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Borella suddenly fell ill and collapsed in front of his castmates. Despite the rapid efforts of paramedics, Borella could not be saved.
Following this unexpected and saddening development, filming of the series starring Lily Collins was temporarily halted.
Born in Venice in 1978, Diego Borella was a successful assistant director and writer who trained in major centers such as Rome, London, and New York and worked on international projects throughout his career. Filming for the fifth season of "Emily in Paris" began in Venice on August 15 and was scheduled to conclude on Monday.
