Access was blocked! Ekrem İmamoğlu move from X

Access to the X account of Ekrem İmamoğlu, the CHP's presidential candidate and the suspended Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor who is being held in the Marmara Prison in Silivri, was blocked.

İmamoğlu's posts were made from the "Presidential Candidate Office" account.

I filed a lawsuit today with the Constitutional Court on behalf of my client, Company X, against the court decision blocking access to Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu's account X. Along with other developments today, the Constitutional Court will have the opportunity to examine some important files regarding fundamental rights and freedoms.

Ekrem İmamoğlu’s application to the Constitutional Court

Gönenç Gürkaynak, a freelance lawyer in Türkiye for social media platform X (formerly Twitter), announced that they have taken a new step regarding the access ban imposed on İmamoğlu's account and filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court (AYM).

Gürkaynak said, “I filed a lawsuit today on behalf of my client, company X, at the Constitutional Court against the court decision blocking access to Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu’s account X. Along with other developments today, the Constitutional Court will have the opportunity to examine some important files regarding fundamental rights and freedoms.”
