Fire at a private care center in Izmir: 12 disabled people were taken to hospital

A fire broke out for an unknown reason in a room on the second floor of a private care center in the Dokuz Eylül neighborhood.
Upon the officers' notice, fire, health, police and AFAD teams were dispatched to the region.
101 disabled people staying at the care center were taken out of the building by firefighters and AFAD teams.
It was learned that 12 disabled people who were affected by the smoke and taken to various hospitals by ambulances were not in life-threatening condition.
The fire was extinguished in a short time by firefighters.
Disabled people staying at the care center were placed in other care centers in the city by the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services teams.
Gaziemir District Governor Kudret Kurnaz, Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Melih Keleş and AK Party Gaziemir District Chairman İsmail Yaşadı came to the special care center and received information from the authorities.
