Huge investment in education in Arnavutköy: Foundation laid for a 32-classroom primary school

The groundbreaking ceremony for a 32-classroom primary school to be built in the İmrahor neighborhood of Istanbul's Arnavutköy district took place. The groundbreaking ceremony for the project, which is being carried out under the leadership of the Arnavutköy Municipality, was attended by Istanbul Deputy Governor Mustafa Kaya, Provincial Director of National Education Prof. Dr. Murat Mücahit Yentür, Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu, Arnavutköy District Governor Mahmut Hersanlıoğlu, AK Party Arnavutköy District Chairman Salim Gökhan Gürek, neighborhood headmen (mukhtars), students, citizens, and numerous guests. The new 32-classroom primary school, whose foundation has just been laid, was designed to meet contemporary educational needs. Upon completion, the project is expected to largely meet the schooling needs in the region.
Speaking at the event, Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu said, "We know that education is not just a service provided within four walls. Education is the most important investment that determines a country's future. If new schools are being built across our country, thousands of teachers have been appointed, and vocational training has been revived, providing access to not only free textbooks but also supplementary resources, there is no doubt that Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's strong leadership is behind this. Education continues in a modern way not only in metropolitan cities but also in the most remote corners of the country. Our state continues its multifaceted efforts to ensure that every child has access to a quality education, based on the principle of equal opportunity in education. Under the leadership of our President, the path to education for everyone, based on their own values and identities, has been paved. As local governments, we have deemed it our duty to be a part of this educational development initiative. Municipal services are not limited to road and infrastructure services. With this understanding, we are also meticulously carrying out the maintenance, repair, and landscaping of our schools in collaboration with our District Directorate of National Education."
"One of the biggest dynamic centers of society is undoubtedly education."Also attending the program and speaking, Provincial Director of National Education Prof. Dr. Murat Mücahit Yentür said, "Our greatest source of joy here is that our Halis Kutmangil School, which had been offering dual-shift education, will now be transitioning to single-shift education with the opening of this new school. What does this mean? It means our teachers will be able to spend more time on social, cultural, and artistic activities, and our children will be able to spend a significant portion of their day at school in a more productive, enjoyable, and educational way. This is truly a valuable development. Arnavutköy is Istanbul's gateway to the world. With the new airport, this area has gained a unique and special position within Istanbul. As the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, under the leadership of our Minister Yusuf Tekin, we have placed Arnavutköy at a very important point in our education investment projection. We have investments planned to be completed in various monthly periods by the end of 2025. We have six new schools that will begin education in September alone. We still have construction on seven more schools underway. In total, we are currently building 21 schools in Arnavutköy, which are included in our investment program. Most importantly, we are closely monitoring this process. We have a very esteemed mayor who supports us every step of the way. Today, two school protocols were signed. Today, we are also laying the foundation of a school together. On behalf of the National Education community, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Arnavutköy Mayor Mustafa Candaroğlu. Of course, simply constructing buildings is not enough. We also need to revitalize our youth. At this point, I would like to emphasize the importance of schools that prepare our children for life and contribute to human resources. We will be making new plans with our district directorate and the municipality to bring schools offering various branches of education, such as Tourism and Hotel Management Vocational High School, Sports High School, and Fine Arts High School, to the region. On this occasion, I wish the school we have laid the foundation for to be auspicious and auspicious. I hope that this school will produce many beautiful things, values, and successful students. We prioritize revitalizing youth as much as we do building buildings. Our most important goal with our new curriculum is to first raise good people, good citizens, moral, just, and compassionate individuals. And then, of course, to bring qualified young people to our country," he said.
