İmamoğlu's reaction to his lawyer's arrest: You will not be able to make me bow down

Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and CHP's presidential candidate, reacted to the arrest of his lawyer Mehmet Pehliva. İmamoğlu's message was shared on the 'Presidential Candidate Office' social media account.

İmamoğlu's message included the following statements:

"You are afraid of my picture, you are afraid of my voice, you are afraid of my words, you are afraid of my name being mentioned... But I did not think that at some point you would be afraid of me defending myself, even of me using my right to defend myself.

"LET THOSE WHO FEAR YOU BE LIKE YOU"

As you fail to convince the nation of your lies, you become more and more aggressive. You are becoming so helpless that you are arresting my lawyer. You are struggling more and more in the dark vortex that you have entered and dragged the country into. All you have left is a handful of slanderers who you have threatened with their families, property, honor and dignity. No matter what you do, you will not be able to make me bow down. You will not be able to bring this nation to its knees. Those who fear you should be like you."
