Istanbul basket: Prices of 186 out of 336 products increased, cherry is the leader

In Istanbul, the product whose price increased the most in July compared to the previous month was cherries, while the one whose price decreased the most was watermelon.

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) announced yesterday that annual retail inflation in the city fell to 42.48 percent in July, compared to 44.38 percent in June.
Again, according to the ITO, the prices of 186 of the 336 main products in the index increased in July compared to June, while the prices of 38 decreased.
The product whose price increased the most last month was cherries, with 29.49 percent.
Cherry was followed by the following in price increase:
- Natural gas: 28.69 percent
- Strawberry: 28.46 percent
- Airfare: 27.96 percent
- Lemon: 25.10 percent
- Surgery and examination fees: 20 percent
- Literary books: 19.86 percent
- Tomato: 19.77 percent
- Green pepper: 19.48 percent
- Charleston pepper: 18.97 percent
- Pear: 17.25 percent
- Canned: 14.57 percent
- Pickles: 12.68 percent
- Raki: 10.88 percent
- Apricot: 10.40 percent
The product whose price decreased the most last month was watermelon, with a 49.47 percent decrease.
Watermelon was followed by the following in price decline:
- Melon: 40.51 percent
- Cucumber: 17.65 percent
- Plum: 17.52 percent
- Zucchini: 14.93 percent
- Parsley: 10.1 percent
- Eggplant: 7.60 percent
- Green beans: 7.51 percent
- Carrots: 5.79 percent
- Green onions: 4.96 percent
- Onion: 4.71 percent
- Potato: 3.84 percent
- Garlic: 3.10 percent
- Banana: 3.30 percent
- Eggs: 2.51 percent
- Bell pepper: 2.19 percent
