Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that the July maternity benefit payments will be deposited into beneficiaries' accounts today. In her written statement, Minister Göktaş emphasized that they continue their efforts to strengthen healthy, informed families through sustainable support mechanisms that encourage family formation. MINISTER GÖKTAŞ’S STATEMENT Reminding that the maternity benefit amount has been updated within the scope of the “2025 Family Year” declared with the approval of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Göktaş stated that in this context, a one-time payment of 5,000 lira is provided for the first child born as of January 1, 2025, a monthly support of 1,500 lira for the second child, and 5,000 lira monthly for three and subsequent children. Emphasizing that maternity benefits are one of the important supports provided to citizens during the Family Year, Göktaş said, “As of today, we are depositing the July maternity benefit payments into the mothers’ accounts. Thus, we have paid approximately 2.6 billion lira to the accounts of a total of 299,421 mothers who have benefited from maternity benefit to date. I hope that these payments will be beneficial to all our families.” Göktaş stated that applications for the birth allowance, which will continue to be paid without interruption until children turn 5, regardless of any criteria, are received through e-Government and the "My First Teacher, My Family" mobile application, and that families whose applications are approved can access information about the payment of their birth allowance through the same application.
