The egg has regressed

The Turkish Statistical Institute ( TurkStat ) released poultry production statistics for May. Accordingly, 241,782 tons of chicken meat were produced in May. Production increased by 11.7 percent year-over-year and 1.8 percent month-over-month. Chicken egg production decreased by 1.6 percent month-over-month in May and by 13.5 percent compared to the same month last year.

During this period, 1.526 billion chicken eggs were produced. The number of slaughtered chickens increased by 8.8 percent year-over-year to 129.851 million. Compared to the same period last year, chicken egg production decreased by 10.5 percent between January and May, while the number of slaughtered chickens increased by 11 percent and chicken meat production increased by 14.1 percent.
