The election date for Adana Metropolitan Municipality has been announced.

In a statement made by the Adana Governor's Office, it was reminded that Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar was arrested by the Istanbul 8th Criminal Court of Peace within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and was suspended from his post with the approval of the Ministry of Interior.

The statement said, "Within the framework of the provisions of the Municipality Law No. 5393, our Governorship has deemed it appropriate for the Adana Metropolitan Municipality Council to convene on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 14:30 in the Adana Metropolitan Municipality Council Hall to elect the new deputy mayor."
