Merdan Yanardağ's harsh response to Mehmet Uçum who tried to give a lesson in leftism

TELE 1 Editor-in-Chief Merdan Yanardağ responded quickly to the definition of the left made by Presidential Advisor Mehmet Uçum in his post on his social media account.

Yanardağ responded to Uçum's definition of the 'patriotic' left by reminding us of the slogan "Long Live Fully Independent Türkiye" on Deniz Gezmiş's death row.

Yanardag said:

The left in Türkiye is already patriotic. How did Deniz Gezmiş go to the gallows? He went by saying, “Long live a fully independent Turkey.” The slogan of an independent Turkey is the identity of the left in this country. While the revolutionaries, leftists, and socialists of this country were protesting the 6th fleet with the slogan of an independent Turkey, Islamists were praying against the 6th fleet.

First of all, he claims that the left is not patriotic. The only political movement in Türkiye that is not local and national is the AKP. It is a party designed as an American project.
