Lawyers request release for Ayşe Barım: 9 doctors diagnosed, 6 illnesses detected

The lawyers of manager Ayşe Barım, who was arrested in January and sent to prison on charges of "agent of influence" and "aiding in the overthrow of the government" as part of the Gezi investigation, have once again requested her release.

Lawyers who requested the release of their clients on the grounds that their life was seriously endangered by their stay in prison, presented the comprehensive health report prepared by Başakşehir Çam and Sakura City Hospital.

According to the news in Oksijen, in the petition submitted to the court by lawyers Deniz Ketenci and Aslı Kibar, the following statement was used: "The health report prepared by 9 different specialist doctors with unanimous agreement clearly shows the risk of death for our client" and the vital danger Barım was in was explained as follows:

"The issue now is not only that our client's health is deteriorating, but also that his chances of survival under these conditions are in serious danger. At this stage, there is no next stage to life-threatening health problems, and a sudden situation can occur at any time, and if prompt and adequate intervention is not made at that time, it can lead to permanent damage or death."

In the petition submitted to the court, the diagnoses made about Barım by 9 specialist doctors were explained under two headings, namely heart and brain disorders.

According to the report, 6 different disorders were detected in Barım's heart.

Lawyers stated that Barım's stay in prison due to his severe and chronic health problems was dangerous to his right to life and requested the court to release him without judicial control measures or at least on the condition of judicial control.
