Türkiye's only Sausage Museum was flooded with visitors
The museum, which displays sausage production equipment dating back more than 100 years and consists of materials collected by the company's board members, has hosted 30 thousand visitors in 1 year. The products exhibited in the museum include a wooden meat grinder, knives, sharpening irons, and sausage filling machines dating back 100 years.
Visitors to the museum, which provides information about the beginning and development of animal husbandry and sausage production in Afyonkarahisar, can tour meat processing, old filling machines, spices, old armor machines, a model of the company's first shop and the sausage and pastrami drying room.
The museum also exhibits a 1943 model vehicle used by the company to transport sausage and pastrami to the districts. The Sucuk Museum also features bull and cow figurines and meat grinders. Children visiting the museum are interested in the bull and cow figurines, while adults are interested in the first shop and transportation vehicle where the sausage trade began. Mehmet Arıkan, one of the museum visitors, said, "I had heard about the museum. I came to visit. The museum took us back in time while we were visiting. The exhibits in the museum are very interesting."
