1.7 tons of cocaine seized at Ambarlı Port were displayed

A container loaded with "fossil flour," sent from South America to Spain and arriving at Istanbul's Ambarlı Port in transit, was deemed risky by units of the General Directorate of Customs Enforcement and placed under close surveillance. During checks, 1.7 tons of cocaine-like drugs impregnated with fossil flour were detected. Following a controlled delivery decision made as part of an investigation launched by the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the container was delivered to the Port of Barcelona under joint surveillance by units of the General Directorate of Customs Enforcement and the Spanish National Police. Three individuals were caught red-handed as they arrived to collect the drugs in an operation in Spain. Furthermore, in a separate operation conducted at the Hamzabeyli Customs Gate by teams from the Ministry of Trade's Customs Enforcement, Anti-Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate, 105 kilos of marijuana worth 65 million TL were seized.
