Minister Uraloğlu: Our TÜRKSAT, which started broadcasting on July 15, is the symbol of our independence today.

Minister Uraloğlu shared a message on his social media account for "July 15th Democracy and National Unity Day." Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that July 15th was one of the most glorious pages in history, a day when the nation, defending its homeland, flag, and independence, waged an epic struggle against the treacherous coup attempt. Uraloğlu said, "That night, our nation, proclaiming its unity, solidarity, and will to the entire world, did not allow the traitors to pass, and shielded itself with its chest full of faith against tanks, rifles, and planes. This heroism once again confirmed the lines of our great poet Yahya Kemal Beyatlı: 'This homeland belongs to those who stand like mountain ranges on the dark heart of the land.'"
Minister Uraloğlu stated that on the night of July 15th, the treacherous members of FETO who infiltrated the state attempted to destroy the national will, but were defeated in the face of the nation's steel will, and said, "That night, our TÜRKSAT employees, Ahmet Özsoy and Ali Karslı, sacrificed their lives and marched to martyrdom against the traitors' attempt to cut off broadcasts. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, they ensured that the message calling our nation to the squares was broadcast. Our cherished martyrs and heroic veterans who risked their lives in this sacred struggle reminded us once again how precious our independence and national unity are. We, protecting this legacy, are working tirelessly to carry Türkiye to a stronger future with a policy of work and service under the leadership of our President. Thank God, our TÜRKSAT, which continued its broadcasts without interruption on that dark night, has become the symbol of our country's technological independence today. On April 21, 2025, "With their presence, we launched our national communications satellite, TÜRKSAT 6A, which we produced with over 80% domestic content. This achievement has made Türkiye one of only 11 countries in the world capable of designing and producing communications satellites and has gone down in history as a giant step towards our technological independence. Following the commissioning of TÜRKSAT 6A, we will, God willing, also commission TÜRKSAT 7A. This satellite, with its higher data capacity, robust coverage, and flexible resource management, will carry Türkiye's vision for the digital future," he said.
'OUR TURKISH FLAGS WILL FLY WITH POSTERS THAT WRITE 'WITH LOVE OF OUR HOMELAND''Minister Uraloğlu also announced that the Ministry has launched the July 15th Train, themed "The Name of Victory is Turkey," to keep the epic spirit of July 15th alive. Uraloğlu explained that this train will travel 90,000 kilometers over 68 days, saying, "This train, which will carry the heroic spirit of that night to millions from Ankara to Istanbul, from Konya to Eskişehir, is a symbol of our love for our homeland and our unity on iron rails. At the same time, our giant Turkish flags, hung on the July 15th Martyrs' Bridge, Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, and Osmangazi Bridge, will wave with banners reading 'With the Love of the Homeland,' expressing our gratitude to our cherished martyrs and veterans. These efforts are an unwavering step toward strengthening the unity of our nation like a steel fortress; we will never again allow treacherous attempts."
'WE WILL CONTINUE TO WORK UNSTOPPED'Uraloğlu stated that the Ministry will continue to work tirelessly, shoulder to shoulder with the nation, for the survival of the homeland. He said, "With these feelings and thoughts, on July 15th, Democracy and National Unity Day, I commemorate with mercy our cherished martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the survival of our homeland, and with gratitude our heroic veterans. I offer my love and respect to our noble nation who defended its national will, and I hope that our country will never again face such betrayals. We will continue to work tirelessly with determination, resolve, and passion to carry Türkiye to a stronger future."
