The General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly convened

Before moving on to the agenda, Buldan gave three MPs a speech off the agenda.
DEM Party Iğdır Deputy Yılmaz Hun stated that the people of Iğdır are experiencing serious difficulties accessing healthcare, stating that due to the city's state hospital's inadequate medical equipment and devices, residents are forced to go to surrounding provinces for even minor health problems. Hun stated that this situation eliminates the possibility of early diagnosis and called on the Ministry of Health to take steps to address Iğdır's health problems.
In her speech regarding "Ankara becoming the capital," AK Party Ankara Deputy Lütfiye Selva Çam said that Ankara is not only the capital of politics but also of trade, culture and literature.
Stating that Ankara is a city of agriculture and industry, Çam said:
It is also a city of universities and a center of diplomacy. The Organization of Turkic States declared Ankara the Tourism Capital of the Turkic World for 2026. Next year, the NATO Summit will be held in our city. Heads of state, leaders, international organizations, and the world's media will be in Ankara. Ankara is no longer just a classic capital; it has become the world's most important political center, shaping global diplomacy, standing up for the oppressed, and taking a majestic stance against oppressors. Unfortunately, it has become a city with no running water and a stalled traffic problem, waiting for a solution.
CHP Bartın Deputy Aysu Bankoğlu played the sound of the emergency siren going off in the mine at the beginning of her speech regarding the explosion in the Amasra mine.
Recalling that 43 miners lost their lives in the mining accident that occurred in Amasra in 2022, Bankoğlu said:
Court of Accounts reports, experts, chambers of commerce all warned. Methane levels were at dangerous levels, ventilation was inadequate, and the system was sounding an alarm. Miners had said, "Death is coming." But these warnings never reached those sitting in Ankara. None of them cared. What happened in Amasra three years ago wasn't a workplace accident; it was a murder that happened right before our eyes. It's the result of an irresponsible mindset that dismisses a disaster—one that has been warned about, reported on, and spoken about countless times—by labeling it "fate."
CHP deputies placed photographs of the miners who lost their lives in the Amasra mine explosion on October 14, 2022, on their tables. The deputies wore badges reading "Don't forget Amasra." (AA) This content was published by Metin Yamaner.
