A new era in WhatsApp: It will summarize with one click

WhatsApp, one of the world's most popular messaging apps, is taking another step toward improving the user experience. With the release of beta version 2.25.21.12 for Android, the platform's new AI-powered feature, "Quick Summary," has been unveiled.

This new feature from WhatsApp is specifically aimed at users who have a lot of active chats and struggle to keep up with messages. Users can select up to five chats from the home screen, tap the "Quick Summary" icon, and the AI will concisely summarize the unread messages in those chats.

This allows you to quickly get a sense of the overall flow of the conversation without having to open each chat individually. WhatsApp previously tested a summary feature specific to a single conversation, but this time, it's offering a more comprehensive solution that covers multiple chats.

IT WILL BE COMPLETELY OPTIONAL

The "Quick Summary" feature, like WhatsApp's other AI tools, will be entirely optional. Disabled by default, the feature can be manually enabled by the user, giving users continued control over their data.
