Disaster averted! Security guard rescues man from being run over by tram

A security guard rescued a woman who, wearing headphones, tried to cross the street without noticing the tram at the Cumhuriyet Square tram stop in Kayseri. The moment was captured on a security camera.

In the footage, the pedestrian can be heard apologizing to the security guard who saved him.

Sharing the footage on social media, Transportation Inc., a subsidiary of the Metropolitan Municipality, said, "This morning, a passenger on our rail system, who was unable to see his surroundings because he was wearing headphones, narrowly escaped a potential accident while attempting to cross the street thanks to the vigilance of our security personnel. This incident is an important reminder for all of us. We thank our security guard for his careful behavior. However, what we must emphasize is that all passengers should be more vigilant on the rail lines. Please use pedestrian crossings. Check both directions when crossing. Remember that you cannot hear surrounding sounds while wearing headphones."
