He wanted to watch the masters, but he lost his life

In the Gebze district of Kocaeli, 50-year-old Hasan Yılmaz took his excavation truck to a repair shop on 1176/2 Street in the Sultan Neighborhood Small Industrial Site at around 13:00 due to a breakdown.

While the workers were welding inside the half-lifted dumper, truck driver Yılmaz started to watch the workers from the hatch that was left open by placing a block.

After a while, the lid quickly closed as the wedge slipped, trapping Yılmaz's head between the damper.

The driver, who was extricated with the help of bystanders, died at the scene. Yılmaz's body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute.
