Israel claims that Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Ubaydah was killed!

Israel claims that Abu Ubaydah, spokesman for Hamas's armed wing, was killed in Gaza.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz said that Abu Ubaydah, a spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, was killed by the Israeli army in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced earlier today that Ubeida was targeted in a joint operation in Gaza conducted by the army and the Shin Bet domestic intelligence service.

Hamas has not yet issued a statement on the issue.

Saudi Arabian broadcaster Al Arabiya, citing a Palestinian source, claimed that the Israeli army stormed Ubaydah's apartment, killing him and everyone else inside, and that his family and Qassam Brigades leaders confirmed his death.
