On Land, At Sea, In The Air: Türkiye Continues to Demonstrate Its Defense Strength

Turkey is making a name for itself in the global league of giants with its breakthroughs in the defense industry. Domestic and national projects developed in land, sea, air, missile, satellite, and space fields are attracting attention with both their technological depth and strategic deterrence. Here are some of Türkiye's pioneering defense systems:
AIR: Domestic Aircraft and UAVs on the RiseThe national combat aircraft KAAN, the training and light attack aircraft Hürjet, the initial training aircraft Hürkuş, the combat unmanned aircraft Bayraktar Kızılelma, and armed UAVs such as the Akıncı TİHA, Bayraktar TB2, Anka 3, Aksungur, and Göksungur are at the forefront of Turkish defense aviation. Attack helicopters ATAK T129 and ATAK 2, along with the utility helicopter Gökbey, further strengthen Turkish air power.
LAND: Armored Force and Fire SupportThe domestically produced main battle tank, the Altay, and its domestically produced engine, the BATU, are crucial to Türkiye's land defense. Armored vehicles such as the FNSS Pars and Kaplan, BMC Vuran and Altuğ, and Nurol Ejder Yalçın offer solutions to diverse operational needs. Domestically produced weapon systems such as the MPT-76, MPT-55, SAR-56, and SAR-109 constitute the core equipment of land forces. Furthermore, towed and self-propelled howitzer systems such as the BORAN howitzer, the Fırtına, Panther, and Yavuz, provide high firepower. The ZAHA, used in amphibious missions, and the unmanned ground vehicle Barkan are also prominent projects.
DENİZ: National Power in the Blue HomelandTurkey is strengthening its maritime capabilities with the amphibious assault ship TCG Anadolu, its next-generation aircraft carrier vision, the TF2000 air defense destroyer, the Istanbul frigate, Ada-class corvettes, the national submarine project MİLDEN, and the STM-MPAC fast patrol boats. Furthermore, logistics support and landing ships such as the TCG Derya, Bayraktar, Sancaktar, and Osmangazi strengthen the navy's logistics capacity. Significant progress has also been made in unmanned maritime systems with the ULAQ SİDA.
Turkey equips its defensive airspace with the long-range SİPER and medium- and short-range HİSAR-A and HİSAR-O systems, while also enhancing its deterrent capabilities with missile and rocket systems such as GÖKDEMİR, Gökdoğan, Bozdoğan, Çakır, SOM, SOM-J, ATMACA, TAYFUN, and TRG-300. Furthermore, specialized munitions such as KORKUT, Cirit, UMTAS, Akya, and Kemankeş increase operational versatility.
SATELLITES AND SPACE: From Observation to LaunchIn addition to observation satellites like Göktürk and İMECE, Turkey is establishing its own space infrastructure with its domestically produced communications satellite, Türksat 6A. It also aims to gain the ability to independently launch its own satellites into space with the MUFS (Micro-Satellite Launch System) project.
RADAR AND ELECTRONIC WARFARE: See and Act UnseenRadar and electronic warfare systems such as Koral, Koral-2, ÇAFRAD, ASELPOD, MURAD AESA Radar, Karakulak, Sancak, and Vural developed by ASELSAN provide significant advantages to Türkiye in the field of digital warfare.
All these projects are increasing the domestic production rate in the defense industry and transforming Türkiye into a global player with its export potential. It's clear that this strategic power across land, sea, air, and space is shaping Türkiye's defense vision.
