Technical specifications of the foldable iPhone model have been revealed

Apple 's foldable iPhone , the iPhone Fold , which has been rumored for years, has finally begun to emerge in detail. According to information shared by two separate leakers, the technical specifications of the device, currently known as the iPhone Fold, have been revealed. While some details remain unclear, the device is said to have a 7.8-inch internal display and a 5.5-inch external display. On the hardware front, it's rumored to feature the A20 Pro chip developed by TSMC using a 2nm manufacturing process, a chip Apple hasn't yet announced.
The device's technical specifications aren't limited to just the processor. Leaks suggest the iPhone Fold will have 12GB of memory . Storage options will include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, depending on price.
The phone will feature a 48MP wide-angle main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide sensor. One of the most notable innovations is that this device will feature Apple's in-house C2 baseband modem for the first time. This means the iPhone Fold's 5G connectivity will be powered by Apple rather than Qualcomm.
Of course, this model, like other foldable models, will come with a higher price tag. According to analysis by the Swiss-based investment firm UBS, Apple initially planned to price the device between $ 2,000 and $2,400. However, recent cost-cutting efforts are reportedly pushing that price down to the $1,800-$2,000 range.
Analysts estimate the device's component costs are around $759, about 4 percent less than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold SE. This could give Apple a profit margin of between 53% and 58%.
The iPhone Fold's display panel will reportedly be supplied by Samsung Display, or less likely LG Display. Parts like the phone's titanium chassis and hinges will come from suppliers like Lens Technology, Amphenol, and Foxconn.
The iPhone Fold, expected to launch in 2026, could be a turning point not only for Apple but for the foldable device market as a whole. Analysts predict that Apple's entry into the foldable market will also boost overall interest in these models.
