These images are all that remain from the fire in Izmir! Aerial intervention has resumed

A fire broke out in a minibus on the İzmir Ring Road around 6:00 PM yesterday. Driven by strong winds, the flames spread to the forest. Following the report, the İzmir Regional Directorate of Forestry's airborne units and numerous water trucks were dispatched to the scene. Teams fought the blaze from both air and land. The aerial firefighting efforts were halted when night fell. The Regional Directorate of Forestry, fire departments, and TOMA (riot control vehicles) from the İzmir Provincial Police Department continued their work throughout the night.
Aerial intervention resumed at first light today. Meanwhile, burning areas around residential areas were captured by drones.
3 suspects in custody
As part of an investigation launched by the Izmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the fire, the minibus's owner, driver, and the technician who serviced the vehicle's exhaust were detained. The suspects are reportedly being processed.
