Trump Administration Considers Sending JASSM Cruise Missiles to Ukraine

The Trump administration, which has decided to provide arms support to Ukraine again in the US, is reportedly considering sending JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) cruise missiles to Kiev for the first time.
According to Military Watch Magazine (MWM), the Trump administration is considering a new military aid package that would include providing Ukraine with previously unsupplied JASSM missiles. These missiles could reportedly be used on the F-16 fighter jets already provided to Ukraine.
The report states that although the F-16s delivered to Kiev are older variants, these aircraft can effectively serve as JASSM carriers in Ukrainian airspace.
JASSMs, which have been in the US Army inventory since 2003, are equipped with advanced guidance systems and have the capacity to carry a warhead of up to approximately 450 kg.
Meanwhile, Russia criticizes Western countries' continued arms support to Ukraine. Moscow argues that such steps complicate the peaceful resolution process and make the West a party to the conflict.
While Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasizes that any vehicle carrying weapons to Ukraine is a "legitimate target" for Russia, the Kremlin also makes statements that Western arms support will not contribute to the negotiation process and will negatively affect it.
