Explosion at Yalova Shipyard: 4 Workers Taken to Hospital
An explosion occurred due to an oxygen tank in the shipyard in the Altınova district of Yalova . The cause of the explosion is not yet known, but it was learned that 4 workers were injured.
EXPLOSION DURING REPAIR
As a result of the explosion, HA (22), MA (29), HK (40) and EE (22), who were repairing the ship, were injured. The injured were taken to Yalova Training and Research Hospital after receiving treatment from medical teams who arrived at the scene upon receiving a report. It was learned that the injured workers were not in mortal danger.
STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
In the statement made by the Yalova Governorship , it was stated that the industrial accident that occurred in the shipyard area was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center at 10.42, and 2 AFAD, fire brigade, police and 3 health teams were dispatched to the scene.
It was stated in the statement that the accident occurred during the oxygen hot cutting device (torch) operation carried out in the ship's gas-free fuel tank, and that the accident occurred as a result of sparks causing a flashover, and 4 people were injured.
It was reported that the injured people, whose lives were not in danger, were transferred to health institutions with the rapid and effective intervention of the teams.
