It was stated that simultaneously with the meetings, health report trainings for the same provinces were carried out in coordination with the Ministry of National Defense.
The statement, which conveyed that evaluation meetings were also held regarding the functioning of city hospitals operating actively in the regions, said, "With regional meetings, regional appointment problems specific to the region are determined on a local level, and solution-oriented work is carried out, aiming to use the existing human resources in the most efficient way and to provide effective and fast service to patients."
2/3 OF APPOINTMENT REQUESTS ARE MET
In the statement where data on the number of appointments waiting in the MHRS system was presented, it was shared that "While the number of people waiting for an appointment through MHRS throughout Turkey was 2 million 490 thousand 559 in December 2024, it decreased to 1 million 96 thousand 163 in February 2025."
It was reported that since there were people with two separate appointment requests in the system, the number of unique people waiting for an appointment was 1 million 42 thousand 471, and as a result of the work, the number of pending appointment requests decreased by 58 percent.
The statement, which drew attention to the fact that, as a result of a detailed evaluation of the data, 197 thousand 949 of the people who created an appointment request were waiting because they preferred a certain doctor, noted the following: "It is seen that the appointment requests of these people who are waiting can be met on a branch basis if they want to choose other doctors from the same branch. Therefore, the number of appointment requests waiting on a clinic basis has decreased to 898 thousand 214. This shows that the number of people waiting for an appointment through MHRS has actually decreased by 64 percent and that two-thirds of the appointment requests have been met with the studies conducted by the Ministry. While appointments can be given for the same day in 69 of the 79 branches registered with MHRS in all of Turkey, appointments can be given for all branches on the same day in 69 provinces and for all branches in the same week in 73 provinces."
