3 songs from London Morning to boost your playlist

London Morning's associate producer, Ryan Soulliere, listens to a lot of music for his role picking tunes for the show. In any given week, that's about 25 songs. Here are his top three local and Canadian picks from last week.
Neil Haverty - Man DownKnown for fronting the band Bruce Peninsula, Neil Haverty is putting out some new music, his first solo project in more than a decade. The song Man Down is dark, cinematic and a reflection of Haverty's own battle with leukemia. Although the subject is heavy and the song is brooding, it is not a total dark cloud. Man Down is a good song to help ease into the early part of your day or when you want to wind down.
Tami Neilson - Borrow My BootsNow living in New Zealand, Tami Neilson has roots in Canada. The Toronto-born singer-songwriter belts out some amazing songs on her new album Neon Cowgirl. Borrow My Boots is the second teaser single from the forthcoming album and it's a banger. Finely tuned with Neilson's trademark vocals and swagger, Borrow My Boots features Ashley McBride, Grace Bowers and Shelly Fairchild. The combo makes for a foot-stomper that will sit well on any playlist that needs a swift kick from a pair of borrowed boots.
Saveria - Down To The RootsDown To The Roots is the song that put Saveria on the musical map. First heard on her appearance of The Launch, the song is a great example of Saveria's vocal power and prowess. Down To The Roots is a high-energy song worthy of a great party mix. Pull out Down To The Roots when you need to get the crowd moving. And don't forget to catch Saveria perform at the London Music Week launch party on Dundas Place, starting at 2 pm on Saturday, May 31.
