Meghan Markle continues to use her Duchess of Sussex title bestowed on her on the day she married Prince Harry despite the pair quitting their royal roles more than five years ago. However, there is a title the mother of two prefers using, and she candidly made the admission in episode two of 'Confessions of a Female Founder'.

Meghan said that being a mum was her "favourite title", telling her podcast guest Reshma Saujani: "Now you have the title of mum. Just like me. Favourite title. Love it. Oh my gosh. I love being a mum so much. It’s my favourite thing. It is the thing where you’re like 'Oh my gosh, I just need a break. I just need a minute'.

"And the second you step into the other room, you go, oh but let me scroll through pictures of them endlessly on my phone, and… my husband’s like, 'My love, can you just give yourself a minute? Why don’t you go work out? Why don’t you go take a bath?'"

Further explaining her point, the Duchess of Sussex added: "I’m like I know, but I just want to cuddle. It's the parenting paradigm where it is so full-on and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But I think what’s really key about what you said, and the pandemic may have been the thing that shifted this when working from home and parenting from home where they are completely converged, can feel incredibly overwhelming."

Meghan's guest Reshma, is the founder of the not-for-profit Girls Who Code. During the interview, they tragically also talked about their shared experience of miscarriage.

Meghan had a miscarriage in July 2020, when her eldest child, Archie, was one, revealing her heartbreak in an article for The New York Times later that year. Speaking to her guest, she said: "The miscarriages that you’ve experienced. I’ve spoken about the miscarriage that we experienced.

"And I think, in some parallel way, when you have to learn to detach from the thing that you have so much promise and hope for and to be able to be OK at a certain point to let something go, something go that you plan to love for a long time."

The Duchess of Sussex and As Ever founder teamed up with Lemonada Media for her latest foray into podcasting, with the first episode released on April 8.

The show has focused on her journey launching the As Ever lifestyle brand and aims to tackle candid conversations with fellow female founders.

The first podcast guest was with the founder of the dating app, Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Herd. Meghan shocked royal fans in the podcast episode by revealing a "rare" and "scary" health battle she faced. The Duchess of Sussex revealed that she suffered postpartum preeclampsia. This is a rare condition that occurs when women have high blood pressure, along with excess protein in their urine soon after childbirth.

Speaking on the podcast to her friend and Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, 35, Meghan said: "We both had very similar experiences — though we didn't know each other at the time — with postpartum, and we both had preeclampsia. Postpartum preeclampsia. It’s so rare and so scary."
