Meghan Markle slapped down as Brits deliver brutal verdict on UK return

Prince Harry may be on his way back to the UK for the first time in months, and while some Brits view his return as a welcome change, the same can't be said about his wife, Meghan Markle, according to the latest figures. The Duke of Sussex will spend four days in his home country and carry out a series of engagements.
Harry will attend the WellChild Awards and show his support for BBC Children in Need. He will also revisit a community recording studio in Nottingham. The Duke's visit sparked speculation about whether his wife should join him or not, as the Duchess has not set foot in the UK since 2022, when she attended the late Queen Elizabeth's funeral.
However, the Express asked readers if Meghan should take a major leap and return to her husband's home country, and the response was overwhelmingly clear.
A total of 6,482 people were polled from 7am on Tuesday, September 2, to 9am on Monday, September 8, and the majority of them responded negatively to the question.
Out of the total, nearly 97% (6,287) said they would rather the Duchess did not come back, while a measly 2% (159) said they would welcome her in the UK.
Just 36 readers voted "I don't know".
This week, Harry, who is no longer a working royal, will carry out a series of engagements and make a substantial donation to the BBC Children in Need charity to help support its work tackling violence affecting young people.
It is not known whether the Duke, who is estranged from his brother, the Prince of Wales, and has a troubled relationship with his father, the King, will stage a reunion during his stay.
The Duke will be in London today- the third anniversary of the late Queen's death - for the annual WellChild Awards, a cause close to his heart as the charity's long-standing patron, before travelling to Nottingham on Tuesday.
He is planning to hold a private briefing with Children in Need, the Police and Crime Commission, the CRS and community outreach group Epic Partners in Nottingham, stage informal catch-ups with some of the young people he met before, and watch performances from CRS artists and make a short speech.
The Duke appears to be focusing on his philanthropic ventures, while the Duchess has been working on her lifestyle brand As Ever and promoting the recent launch of the second season of her critically savaged Netflix show.
