Alex Consani Might Have Deserved Better as Vogue Japan’s August 2025 Cover Star

Alex Consani continues to dominate the world of modeling, and is taking the fashion industry by complete storm. During the recent Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week festivities, the American beauty walked the blue-chip shows of Schiaparelli and Chanel. On the magazine cover front, Consani has graced the titles of V Magazine and American Harper’s Bazaar (to name just a select few). The latest magazine cover Alex Consani is adding to their ever-growing portfolio is Vogue Japan. The industry fave takes to the August 2025 edition via the lens of photographer Hyea W. Kang. In the stylized cover image, Consani is captured on location in Tokyo, Japan, dressed by cover shoot stylist Yoko Miyake in a leather dress from Louis Vuitton.

“Bit rough!” immediately remarked BalkaniStaCouture.
“They should have placed Alex in a different spot. The contrast between the blue and the brown is nice, and it is fresh for a summer cover. However, it looks terribly Photoshopped,” theshadesgaze chimed in.
“Looks more WSJ. Magazine to me,” noted forum member Mr Yayo.
Vogue28 wasn’t all too impressed either. “Alex Consani is one of the very few models within the industry working today who has personality, yet looks so lifeless and static here. The cover does zilch for me. I like the Louis Vuitton dress and that’s just about it. What a wasted opportunity! Where’s a Vogue Japan x Luigi & Iango cover shoot moment when we need it?” he asked.
“Could’ve been better. This is such a disappointment right after two consecutive covers that brought back the old Vogue Japan,” shared crmsn.
Yet not everyone was disappointed. “The cover is good and so is the editorial. Feels original or at least, fresh enough,” defended WAVES.
“The colors on the cover are stunning,” admired MModa.
